About Daisy Alice Bunyan

Daisy Bunyan is a freelance stylist and costume supervisor and designer based in London.

Daisy studied Writing Directing and Performance at the Department of Theatre Film and Television at the University of York. She was part of the drama societies, took a production to the Edinburgh fringe in her second year and was individually selected for her costume design by the National Student Drama Festival 2010 in Scarborough. In her final year she worked with Designer Alex Lowde on Professor Mike Cordner’s production of Mad World My Masters and was responsible for developing the costume store at the department’s state of the art theatre production facilities.

Daisy immediately put her experience into a professional context as Costume Supervisor for A Clockwork Orange: the musical at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, working with Alex Lowde’s designs, gaining solid budgeting and time management skills. She has continued to assist Lowde, including on touring productions, and most recently on Edward II at the National Theatre.

In 2011 Daisy gained basic professional skills in pattern cutting and fashion illustration at Fashion Antidote to add to her skillset. She has worked with Stylist Siouxsie over the last 2 years to build up an extensive assistant stylist portfolio working on editorial, catwalk and commercial shoots from London to Paris. She stepped up to the role of second assistant director on Honeycomb Lodge (2013), directed by Lesley Manning and written by Surendra Kochar, extending her skills and understanding of the production side of professional feature film making.

Daisy has a great passion for storytelling and the role costume plays in film and television. She is working to take on more projects as a costume designer and stylist in her own right.
